Kersten Glandien author, curator, producer
Imagine yourself sitting in the Captain’s Garden on a summer’s day, with the bees buzzing and the gentle sea breeze moving the grasses around you. Through headphones, the natural sounds of the garden blend with specially chosen sound works to create a unique experience for each listener. Listening with others in a shared environment becomes a surprising communal encounter.
The sounds are selected by Kersten Glandien of Sound Art Brighton who specialises in the fields of Sound Arts, Aesthetics and Experimental Music.
Duration: 60 mins approx. though you can stay for as long as you wish.
Please note: you need to bring your own phone and headphones. Access to the sound works is via QR code that will be provided to you. For those without a phone or headphones, we will provide an mp3 player and headphones. This allows each listener to listen in their own time and experience the pieces in their own way.
The garden has uneven surfaces. Much of it is wheelchair accessible but if you would like to reserve a disabled parking space, please email Alice at alice.wilkinson@dealmusicandarts.com in advance.
There is no public parking but there are spaces nearby.
