Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night with Changeling Theatre

Rob Forknall Director

If music be the food of love, play on.”

Join us for Changeling Theatre’s ever-popular performance at the Deal Festival, which this year features Twelfth Night, Shakespeare’s bittersweet romantic comedy where no one is quite who they seem.

Shipwrecked on an unknown shore, Viola is separated from her twin brother Sebastian. She thinks he’s dead. He thinks she’s dead. And everyone else has no idea which one’s which. Viola embraces a secret new identity by disguising herself as a boy to work for the Duke Orsino. Confusion, misdemeanour and farce abound in this fast-paced comedy, where none of the characters really know what’s going on! It’s sure to be a highly entertaining show, with outstanding performances and new music performed by Changeling’s talented and versatile cast.

Please note: there are no chairs or seating in St George’s Church Gardens. You are invited to bring picnic rugs and chairs to enjoy this outdoor performance. The gardens will be open to the audience at 6.30pm for their picnics. In the event of bad weather, the performance will move inside the church.

This performance lasts approximately two hours, including an interval.
