Iona Kaye soprano Elena Orsi violin Ailsa Burns violin Hoda Jahanpour cello
Last year’s Young Artist in Association, Hoda Jahanpour, won hearts with her energy, invention and virtuosic cello playing. She returns to the festival with another exciting collaboration, bringing together her Manchester-based ensemble Nomad and Dudù Kouate, the internationally acclaimed Senegalese percussionist and multi-instrumentalist. Their sound merges Celtic folk, jazz, classical arrangements and African influences, drawing on Dudù’s vast collection of instruments. The result is a vibrant and dynamic fusion of global rhythms, traditions and melodies.
