The Music of Language
A day-long creative writing workshop in the Astor’s McKellen Studio exploring poetry as an act of attention and response to sound, place and memory. The day is led by renowned poet, educator and mentor Jacob Sam-La Rose. Jacob is a force on the British poetry scene in his many roles, including as artistic director of the Barbican Young Poets programme. The day will balance individual writing, collaborative exchange, and moments of reflection, and will conclude with an informal sharing of work for those who wish to take part.
