Broadcaster and author Gavin Esler interviews historian and Bafta-winning film-maker Laurence Rees about his book The Nazi Mind – 12 Warnings from History. This ground-breaking narrative history explores the motivations and mentalities behind the Nazis and their supporters, using the latest research in psychology to help answer some of the most perplexing questions surrounding the Second World War and the Holocaust.
A former Head of BBC TV History programmes, Laurence Rees is the author of several acclaimed books on the Second World War. His work includes the television series The Nazis: A Warning from History, Auschwitz: The Nazis and the ‘Final Solution’, World War II: Behind Closed Doors and The Dark Charisma of Adolf Hitler.
This event lasts approximately one hour and is followed by a book signing.
