The Tony Nandi ARPS Photographic Award

2022 Exhibition

The Tony Nandi ARPS Photography Award was launched in 2022 to commemorate the work of one of the country’s foremost photographers of the performing arts who chronicled DMA’s events for many years.  Photography students at The Astor School, Canterbury College, Goodwin Academy and Sandwich Technology School were invited to produce images drawing on Tony’s work using movement and light as well as a DMA film of Mussorgsky’s Pictures At An Exhibition recorded during lockdown by Trinity Laban Conservatoire music students.

Professional photographer, Sim Cannetty-Clarke very kindly judged the entries and selected 10 finalists whose images will be displayed at an exhibition at the Linden Hall Gallery in Deal for the duration of the festival, 1-16 July.  The overall winner will be announced at the festival launch on 1 July.
