Hosted and curated by Jacob Sam-La Rose, poets working at the forefront of contemporary poetry perform their work across the day. Poets include former and current members of Barbican Young Poets brought together by Jacob Sam-La Rose, a British-Guyanese poet and one of the country’s most inspirational writers and educators.

The lunchtime concert starts and ends with poetry performances, and the afternoon’s Poetry and Music events feature musicians Fiona Winning and Tim Gill.

The day ends with an explosion of talent, an open mic session featuring local poets.
