Ryan Corbett

Described by the Scotsman as “one of Scotland’s most exciting young musicians”, Ryan started out playing traditional music on an accordion given to him by his grandmother at the age of 11. He is now a BBC New Generation Artist and multi-award-winning musician, having been awarded the Keyboard Prize, first prize and Gold Medal at the Royal Over-Seas League Annual Competition and prizes across Europe. We are delighted to welcome him to Deal to perform his own arrangements of works by composers including Bach, Rameau, and Mendelssohn.

Programme includes:

Johann Sebastian Bach / Ferruccio Busoni – Partita for Solo Violin No. 2 in D minor, BWV 1004: Chaconne
Jean-Philippe Rameau – Les Cyclopes and Les Sauvages
Franck Angelis – Romance
Felix Mendelssohn – Rondo Capriccioso, Op. 14, MWV U67
