Single-Material Performance

Joshua uses sculpture, installation, and performance to stage intimate experiences exploring the relationship between sound, physical materials, and environmental phenomena. With Deal Beach as the dramatic backdrop, this site-responsive artwork utilises wind energy to produce acoustic sound from a single material: a biodegradable plastic sheet, to create a thought-provoking and unique experience for its audience.
