DMA’s Young Artist in Association, pianist Xiaowen brings a programme inspired by another great pianist, Harriet Cohen, in whose footsteps she followed at the Royal Academy of Music. Xiaowen has chosen a fascinating selection of music dedicated to this extraordinary British pianist, at its heart the grand, romantic Sonata No. 2 by Arnold Bax, Cohen’s one-time lover, as well as a piece by Cohen herself.
| Cohen | Russian Impressions |
| Bartók | Six Dances in Bulgarian Rhythm |
| Gibbons | Five Keyboard Pieces |
| Bax | Piano Sonata No.2 |
Duration: 60 mins approx.
In partnership with the Royal Academy of Music
